A place in the kitchen leadership team is open at a busy, high-volume Gold Coast café, for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef. You would work with the Head Chef and another Sous Chef on the day-to-day running of the kitchen, busy services and the standards of food and kitchen.
An experienced Sous Chef, or a strong senior chef ready to step up, is the person sought. Sponsorship could be considered for the right candidate if they have experience in a similar role and pass a 6-month probation period.

Key Responsibilities
- Guide the team through busy services and work with the Head Chef and other Sous Chef to run the kitchen
- Plan prep and sections and keep daily operations organised
- Keep dishes consistent and well presented, with food safety, cleanliness and kitchen standards upheld
- Coach and support the kitchen staff
- Take ownership, lead the kitchen when needed and foster a positive, organised, professional culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- A good deal of experience in a busy, high-volume café or comparable kitchen, together with past work as a Sous Chef, senior chef or supervisor
- Self-assured at leading a team and getting through a busy service, well organised and a clear communicator
- Dependable and cool under pressure, ready to own the job and to work shoulder to shoulder with the team
- A sound understanding of food quality and consistency
- Available 5 days per week, including Saturday and Sunday
