A family-run Italian trattoria in Cairns, open-air and busy, is recruiting a Restaurant Supervisor. Customers come for homestyle food from breakfast until late each day, with a wine list built for curious drinkers. The supervisor leads service on the floor, runs shifts, looks after the team and owns the guest experience.
The right person has a direct pathway into management and gets to learn the business side of the restaurant along the way. Full Australian work rights are required. Sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Guide service on the floor, dealing with bookings and table flow alongside the kitchen
- Keep service standards high and coach colleagues as they work
- Recommend and pair wine with confidence, and train others to do so
- Close the restaurant, including cash-up and daily checklists, and look after rostering, training, stock and ordering
- Know regulars by name and make first-time guests want to return
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience as a supervisor or senior floor team member in a quality, busy restaurant (ideally 2+ years)
- Confident wine knowledge: styles, regions and food pairings, plus a keenness to keep learning
- A clear picture of great service, held steadily on a big night
- A current Queensland RSA (and RMLV, or willingness to complete it on the way to management)
- Availability across a seven-day roster that includes nights, weekends and public holidays, with full Australian working rights
