Experienced Duty Managers can apply to one of Christchurch CBD's premier hospitality venues, a rooftop bar now in its sixth year. It is open Tuesday through to Sunday and serves sharing plates and fresh seasonal food with full table service at all times; Mondays are for venue presentation, cocktail competitions, functions and staff trainings.
The job is permanent and full-time, with a 30 hour minimum contract, rotating closing shifts and evening and weekend work; Friday and Saturday evenings are non negotiable. Consistent, in-depth training and growth are offered to people who commit to the industry, and the aim is a small, strong team that works hard. Immediate starts are available. Sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Greeting guests on arrival and managing reservations and enquiries.
- General customer service, including orders, up-selling and payments.
- Leading the team and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Acting as the contact for functions.
- Monitoring front of house costs, overheads and the roster against KPI's and targets.
- Running front of house trainings and maintaining positive staff culture.
- Stock ordering and the monthly stocktake.
- Opening and closing procedures.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment and meeting legal obligations.
- Helping develop new menus: drinks, recipes, costings and marketing.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum three years bar experience, including high volume cocktail work.
- Warm and welcoming personality, drive to succeed and ambition to grow and develop.
- Passion for the industry and a positive attitude.
- Valid LCQ and current Duty Managers Certificate.
- Able to commit to evening and weekend work (Friday and Saturday evenings are non negotiable).
