Queenstown's vehicle rental branch has a vacancy that blends phone work, paperwork and vehicle care. The Customer Service / Groomer would help business, commercial and recreational travellers pick the right transport, serving local short-term customers and larger long-term contracts, and would keep the vehicles well groomed, maintained and ready for hire.
For queries, advice, quotes and contracts you need excellent customer service and communication skills and a confident phone manner. Because the team is small and hardworking, expect to help everywhere in the branch. This is a permanent, full-time job of 40 hours per week, rostered between 8.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday plus Saturdays until 1.00pm. The employer prefers to appoint suitable and available NZ workers but is an Accredited Employer with Immigration NZ, and may sponsor candidates who need a work visa when no such appointment can be made.

Key Responsibilities
- Answer phones, give sales advice and quotes, draw up contracts and complete transactions
- Coordinate vehicle deliveries and pick-ups
- Look after office administration and customer accounts
- Keep the rental fleet groomed to the highest standards and run the necessary compliance checks
- Identify and escalate repair and maintenance issues, and manage maintenance and damage as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Full Class 1 Driver Licence, or overseas equivalent
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Customer-facing service experience from earlier jobs, ideally in vehicle rental but not essential
- Grooming experience is preferred but not essential
- Excellent customer service, communication skills and a confident phone manner, with great attention to detail and time management
