An Account Manager is wanted in Sydney by a growing FMCG business. The ideal person is commercially driven and ambitious, understands FMCG and retail, likes working with independent customers and is motivated by growing sales through strong relationships. Work is hybrid.
Beyond managing accounts that already exist, the role means finding new opportunities, growing those accounts and playing a real part in the company's continued growth, with ownership and autonomy. As the business expands, the role could open a genuine path to Business Manager. Sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of independent customers and key accounts.
- Build strong and lasting relationships.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and develop new business.
- Understand customer needs together with the customer.
- Monitor sales performance and achieve agreed targets.
- Provide insights on the market and customers to the broader business.
- Represent the brand professionally and take ownership of your territory and results.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Commercially hungry, proactive and ambitious.
- Experience of FMCG, retail, wholesale, field sales or a related environment.
- Strong understanding of retail and of independent customers.
- Proven account management, sales or business development experience.
- A commercial mindset with a focus on sales growth.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- The confidence to identify opportunities and turn them into results.
- A proactive and hands-on approach.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, plus the ambition to take the next step in your career.
