An Australian-owned contract caterer, 25 years in the business across aged care, education, retail and remote services, wants a passionate Chef Manager. The permanent, full-time post is at a facility for older people in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, close to Goulburn.
Weekdays from 9:00 am until 5:30 pm, the Chef Manager keeps the kitchen running and sees that each resident is served excellent food adapted to their own diet. Sponsorship might be available to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook fresh and nourishing food in volume, and prepare modified-texture dishes in keeping with each resident's dietary requirements and the standards in place
- Arrange the day's kitchen tasks yourself, putting the most important first
- Keep the kitchen clean and hygienic and follow food safety practice
- Greet residents and clients warmly and professionally, helping dining feel positive
Requirements & Eligibility
- Commercial cookery trade qualification, recognised
- Current Food Safety Supervisor qualification
- Hands-on food preparation, bulk cooking and kitchen operations experience
- Awareness of texture-modified diets and of individual dietary requirements, along with strong customer service and communication
- Self-directed, able to balance priorities and keep standards high; a current National Criminal History Check, and able to meet the site's flu vaccination requirements
