A Hamilton café needs an experienced, motivated Chef for a permanent full-time kitchen post. You would help deliver quality food for the café, for functions and for catering, handling daily preparation and cooking, executing the menu, and holding standards of quality, presentation and hygiene high.
It is a busy kitchen with plenty of variety, from everyday café customers to group bookings, tour groups and special events such as Christmas functions, weddings, birthdays and high teas. The employer is an Immigration accredited employer, so it holds the status needed to sponsor migrant workers.

Key Responsibilities
- Cover daily preparation, cooking and menu execution, keep food quality, presentation and hygiene high, and cater for everyday customers, group bookings, tour groups and events

Requirements & Eligibility
- Previous experience of at least 12 months as a Chef in a café, restaurant or commercial kitchen
- Strong preparation, cooking and presentation skills
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
- Able to manage time and cope with pressure in busy service periods
- Strong organisation and independence, plus teamwork, a positive attitude, reliability and pride in quality food
