A qualified chef who is ready to escape the city, take the next career step, gain experience and join a strong team has an opportunity at a hotel venue in regional northern Victoria.
The chef reports directly to the Venue Manager and is responsible for leading each culinary team. The venue is looking for progressive ideas about food across a range of cuisines, and volume kitchen and function experience is an advantage. Sponsorship is available.

Key Responsibilities
- Menu development.
- Food standards, production and food costings.
- Maintaining the standards set by executive management.
- Labour management and costing.
- Helping recruit kitchen staff and train them from induction.
- Meeting agreed kitchen KPIs.
- Good communication with the management team and staff.
- Hygiene, cleanliness and safety.
Requirements & Eligibility
- You have at least 2 years' experience (a minimum) in a similar high-volume venue.
- You hold Cert III or Cert IV in Cookery.
- You are highly professional, energetic and enthusiastic.
- You know kitchen operations well, with an emphasis on food quality and presentation.
- You manage kitchen costs soundly.
- You communicate outstandingly, in writing and verbally.
- You lead strongly and can manage a multi-faceted kitchen.
- You are a hands-on leader who coaches and motivates, and you build team spirit across the whole venue.
- You solve problems well.
