Coffee skills travel well. In Cairns, a specialty roaster from Far North Queensland has several Barista openings and wants people who bring energy and drive.
The job is full-time. Your day starts early, at 5am, and finishes at 2pm, Monday to Friday, with weekend availability on top. In that time you lead the coffee programme, keep each drink consistent and quick, mentor other baristas and contribute fresh product ideas.
Employee sponsorship is open for the positions under the FNQ DAMA, the Far North Queensland Designated Area Migration Agreement.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, upskill and manage a team of baristas
- Deliver a genuine, efficient, top-tier coffee experience to each customer
- Lead QC cupping and work closely with the roasters
- Help with green bean purchasing selections
- Do production roasting when needed and maintain WH&S standards throughout the space
Requirements & Eligibility
- Know specialty coffee in depth and have the experience to match; Q-grader, cupping, competition, training and/or roasting experience is highly advantageous
- Proven leadership and team-building skills
- A love of people and customer service
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Growth mindset and a willingness to start at 5am
