Preparing quality food for guests is the heart of this cook or chef job at a growing tourist park in Port Hedland, Western Australia. The park wants someone experienced, reliable and hardworking for a full-time position, 5 or 6 days per week depending on what is agreed.
Because the position is residential and not FIFO, you must be happy to live locally. The successful applicant completes a pre-employment medical that includes a drug and alcohol test. Sponsorship opportunities may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook to a high standard, keeping quality, portions and presentation steady
- Observe the food safety, hygiene and cleaning rules
- Assist with stock control, ordering and stock rotation
- Keep the kitchen clean, safe and organised, and limit food waste
- Work well in a busy team, helping with preparation and service when needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Cooking or chef experience from previous roles
- Good grasp of kitchen operations and food safety
- Able to turn out consistent, high-quality meals
- Reliable and composed under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork, positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ready to live and work locally
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery is preferred, although an applicant with relevant experience but no formal qualification may still be considered; Food Safety Certificate is also preferred
- Pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test
