The work is fabricating natural and engineered or manufactured stone for kitchen benchtops and other applications, 100% wet-processing / water-fed, for someone proud of high-quality work. It is a full-time, permanent, long-term job with an immediate start, Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 5:00pm and Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm, with overtime and Saturday work available. Key Responsibilities
- Turn natural and manufactured stone into kitchen benchtops and other stone products.
- Cut, shape, polish and finish pieces, laminating and mitring edges for high-quality joins.
- Work from plans, drawings and measurements.
- Keep production accurate, efficient and well finished.
- Care about the quality of workmanship and detail.
- Observe workplace health and safety procedures and company systems.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience in stonemasonry and stone fabrication behind you, with natural and manufactured stone.
- Confidence in laminating, mitring, polishing and finishing.
- Able to work from plans and drawings.
- Quality finishes every time.
- Self-sufficient, yet part of a team.
- Detail-minded and proud of your craft.
- Dependable, hardworking and quick in a fast-paced workshop, and physically capable of the work.
- Current driver's licence, and a White Card held or obtainable.
- Desirable: forklift licence (advantageous but not essential).
- 3+ years in the industry is preferred, though suitably skilled applicants with less experience are considered.
