Vacancies in Perth's metro area and regional WA are open to qualified Boilermakers, Fabricators, Welders and Pipefitters through a Western Australian workforce company that places tradespeople with defence, health, rail, mining, civil construction and oil and gas clients. Typical work is heavy structural steel, pipe spools and piping systems, workshop fabrication, and TIG and flux-core welding.

Key Responsibilities
- Follow isometrics, shop drawings, work packs and fabrication details, building safely and to quality standards
- Fabricate, fit, weld and repair against the project specifications
- Pipefitting: fabricate pipe spools and piping systems, prepare fit-ups, install flanges, valves and supports
- Welding: TIG on stainless, carbon, duplex or exotic materials, or FCAW on structural components, to approved procedures
- Boilermaking: assemble structural steel, platework, chutes, hoppers, tanks and heavy industrial components
- Work safely with shop equipment, keep the area clean, attend pre-starts and safety inspections, raise hazards, incidents, defects and quality issues, and pass weld tests
Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant trade certificate (Boilermaker, Metal Fabricator, Welding Trade, Pipe Fitting or equivalent), backed by workshop fabrication and construction industry experience
- Reads engineering drawings and technical documents, and works to fabrication tolerances and quality requirements
- Strong grasp of workshop safety; Construction Industry White Card preferred
- Desirable: first aid, forklift, EWP, rigging or dogging tickets, confined space, working at heights, AS/NZS welder qualifications
- Comfortable with manual handling, PPE, overtime and shift work when required
