A commercial property maintenance company with over 20 years in New Zealand has five permanent, full-time vacancies for experienced abseilers doing property maintenance at height. Work is split between greater Auckland and Christchurch depending on what is on, so travel is regular, overnight stays included, with now and then a short trip to another region.
Normally 40 hours a week, the schedule is either 7am to 5pm Monday to Saturday or night shifts of 6pm to 2am Monday to Thursday, against a contract minimum of 70 hours a fortnight; rosters come about a week early. The employer is accredited, so it can sponsor overseas hires, and it welcomes contact from IRATA-qualified abseilers currently overseas who want to work in New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform height and rope access work, including abseiling, and certify height safety systems
- Clean buildings and windows and water blast
- Glaze, produce building reports, and carry out flood restoration and other property maintenance work
Requirements & Eligibility
- IRATA Level 1 qualification (or equivalent)
- Rope access experience of at least 6 months after qualifying
- First Aid as a minimum (NZQA 6400, 6401 and 6402) or equivalent
- 3M Inspection & Certification qualification (or equivalent)
- Legal ability to drive in New Zealand
- Physical fitness and strength, with no medical conditions that would prevent physical work
- Integrity and a strong work ethic, and willingness to travel between regions, including overnight stays
