From the coast of Tanzania to the southern city of Melbourne: a private mental health hospital there is recruiting for permanent, full-time roles on an inpatient unit. You would care for people who are acutely unwell with complex needs, alongside psychiatrists, psychologists and allied health staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct wide-ranging mental health assessments and deliver individualised care through nursing
- Support people with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety and other conditions and complete patient risk assessments
- Run mental state examinations and observe and monitor patients
- Administer medication and observe responses to treatment
- Respond to patient crises through intervention and help patients plan their recovery
- Encourage therapeutic engagement
- Operate within a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, allied health staff and nurses
- Maintain accurate clinical records and work on discharge planning
Requirements & Eligibility
- Registered Nurse (qualified) who brings inpatient mental health or psychiatric nursing experience
- Currently registered with AHPRA, or able to obtain Australian nursing registration
- Strong skills in assessing patients clinically and managing risk
- Strong skills in communication
- Experience across acute mental health, adult psychiatry or specialist inpatient services
- Dedicated to recovery-focused, trauma-informed and person-centred care
- Looking for employer sponsorship under the Subclass 482 visa
