East Gippsland's regional health service is calling for dual-registered Registered Nurse / Midwives to join its maternity team, managing obstetric emergencies and sharing care with GP obstetricians.
Overseas people with substantial maternity capabilities and experience are encouraged to apply, and sponsorship for temporary and permanent visas is offered. Regional maternity work draws on a wide range of midwifery and nursing skills. A smaller team gives each member more voice.

Key Responsibilities
- Keep care continuous throughout antenatal, postnatal and intrapartum settings, handling obstetric emergencies with confidence
- Share care with GP obstetricians
- Help decide day-to-day matters in a small, supportive maternity team
Requirements & Eligibility
- A cover letter, a resume with two recent referees and a response to the key selection criteria
- Strong clinical capabilities, and confidence throughout the pregnancy-birth continuum
- A Level 3 fetal surveillance qualification (support is given to attain it if needed)
- Current AHPRA registration as both a Registered Midwife and a Registered Nurse, with at least 4 years of recent experience throughout antenatal, postnatal and intrapartum care
