Contract Senior Network Engineers are wanted in Sydney to support a major bank over the long term. The IT consultancy placing them has delivered ICT services to government, finance, telecommunications and enterprise customers since 2003. Engagements sit within an infrastructure and technology modernisation program and involve designing, implementing and handing over critical networking constructs as large-scale migration phases proceed.
You must be already based in Australia, in Sydney, with a valid work visa, as the roles are strictly onsite. Visa sponsorship and existing visa takeover opportunities are available.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and configure intricate networks on Cisco ASA and ACI, and turn high-level design specifications into working firewall configurations
- Execute passive and canary rollouts, validating the rule sets
- Manage F5 GTM and LTM appliances for traffic distribution, including high availability and disaster recovery compliance
- Prepare change control and rollback procedures and execute them rigorously
- Monitor how systems perform once live and maintain handover documentation
Requirements & Eligibility
- Strong hands-on Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI and APIC experience
- Enterprise firewall policy deployment and troubleshooting: a proven track record
- Expertise with F5 GTM and LTM appliances, including configuring and supporting them
- Solid understanding of network capacity planning
- Solid understanding of performance monitoring
- Industry certifications such as CCNP / CCIE or equivalent, which are highly regarded
- Sydney base and a valid work visa (strictly onsite)
