Swapping the Indian Ocean breeze for a Queenstown worksite? A contractor with 25 years in civil and earthworks, and awards to its name, is hiring skilled equipment operators for its earthworks team.
Your work would be cutting, filling, hauling and compacting, and getting sites ready for retaining walls and residential and commercial developments. The role is permanent, with consistent hours, 30 as a minimum and typically 50 a week. Anyone not living in the area yet must be willing to move before applying.
The business holds Immigration NZ accreditation and can sponsor work visas. The role is for applicants who are already located in New Zealand as a citizen, resident or holder of a current open work visa.

Key Responsibilities
- Safe, efficient operation of bulldozers and dump trucks
- Safe, efficient operation of compactors and water carts
- Dig and fill with earth, rock and other materials
- Haul and compact earth, rock and other materials
- Shape and prepare sites for construction
Requirements & Eligibility
- 2 years working in civil construction or similar
- Holds a WTR endorsement
- Holds a full Class 2 licence
- Works hard, stays flexible and puts safety first
- NZ citizen, resident or current open NZ work visa
- Desirable: a Class 4 licence, an understanding of compaction, time driving trucks or other machinery, and NDM testing certification
