Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy diesel trucks and semi-trailers
- Find and repair mechanical, electrical, braking and suspension faults, including work on air brake systems, axles, wheel bearings, landing legs and trailer components
- Run safety inspections and make sure NHVR compliance is met
- Complete maintenance records and job reports efficiently, to a high standard of workmanship
Requirements & Eligibility
- Heavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualification, or equivalent
- Practical experience with heavy vehicles, trailers, air brake systems and trailer maintenance
- Diagnostic and fault-finding skills that are strong, plus the ability to work independently and within a team
- HC/MC driver's licence (an advantage)
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
