Compliance inspections, servicing and repairs for every kind of vehicle, WOF inspections among them, are the business of an Auckland compliance centre that now needs experienced automotive car mechanics. The jobs are permanent and full-time, Monday to Friday, and the duties include stripping imported cars for inspection, doing servicing and mechanical repairs and collecting parts from suppliers.
Computer knowledge is needed to enter invoices, WOF inspections and repair time into the system. The employer is accredited and part of the AEWV sponsorship framework; however, New Zealand citizenship or residency is a condition, so the role is for people already living in New Zealand who have it.

Key Responsibilities
- Strip imported cars with care to ready them for inspection, and carry out routine servicing and maintenance on various vehicles
- Complete mechanical repairs on cars
- Collect cars and parts from suppliers
- Record repair time on timesheets, load invoices and WOF inspections, and support colleagues
Requirements & Eligibility
- Automotive car mechanic experience, proven, of at least three years
- New Zealand citizenship or residency
- A New Zealand driver licence
- Strong adherence to safety protocols; organised and proactive, able to multitask and meet timelines
- Good communication skills and references; computer knowledge is an advantage
